PORSCHE CARS & CASTLES: Drive, Compare and Explore Scotland- 981 vs 911 vs 718 – Visit Scotland

thanks to the National Trust of Scotland
we will visit five historic castles in eleven modern Porsches. Our first stop
takes us to Drum Castle, one of Scotland’s oldest tower houses, let’s
start with an introduction to the cars first up we’ve got the 997 Turbo gen1
Tiptronic 5 speed, a guards red Boxster S, a blue 997.2 C4S cab, a very rare Ipenama blue C4 GTS, 3 2.7 981’s a 718 and a 991.2 3 litre,
and 3 more base 981s short drive along the Deeside corridor
takes us to Crathes next stop is at Craigievar, this
fairytale castle is famous pink harled walls and is said to have inspired the Walt Disney trademark castle. 997 Turbo, it still looks great inside. Lovely interior, black on black, tip, sports chrono Turbo on the dial, lettering on the console [Door Shuts] GTS or Turbo, which would you have? Both awesome in their own right, slightly
different in their own way Now this one’s caught my attention because you’ll notice it’s wearing aftermarket wheels. And it has quite an aggressive stance it’s only wearing 19 inch wheels but what
he’s done is he’s reduced the profile a little bit and the car as such now sits a little
bit lower with a slightly more aggressive offset, see what I mean, see the standard 19-inch
wheel is, 40 Profile It looks really good in black, really cool. Good work! Camera shutter Love this black on black. new style wheel is
awesome, multifunction, slightly smaller you’ve got the controller for drive mode on the wheel, i like that. Pano roof as well, pretty cool today. I believe these are the 20 inch turbo wheel Further East is Castle Fraser, one of
Scotland’s grandest and largest tower houses 6 of the 11 cars here today are
Boxsters, let’s go and check out the different specs on them all,
Carerra classic wheels, double sports exhaust which appears to be painted black, which i hadn’t seen before Rear badge is de-badged, it just says Porsche now folding mirrors, Agate Grey, 14 way comfort
seats with Peble centers, it’s got the multifunction wheel, buttons to change gear, sports chrono and grey dash, door handles are also covered in
pebble leather, you’ve got the comfort and memory buttons on the side there The red Boxster has
a GTS rear end and it also has PASM fitted and you can see the difference in
ride height with the black car. this car has an up market feel, with sports plus seats
and full leather on the dash and door cards and all the buttons on the center console
are fully optioned Painted lower skirt Painted side slats, in Guards Red You see again, another spec, No nav, basic screen, climate control Paddles on the wheel this time Higher end leather, you see its not grain’y Red belts to match the paintwork Sonar I like a bit of humour, I won’t be tailgating ths guy. It will be interesting to compare the 718 to the 981. Bordeaux red
and black dash with red deviated stitching They toned it down in the 718
with the wheel now being black rather than same color as the
seats. And last but not least, Fyvie Castle. It dates
back to the 13th century [Please Subscribe for more Porsche content]
