[Vanguard] JC Uesaka juices up the latest booster pack “Sovereign Star Dragon” PART 2 Vol. 28, 2015

Card Fight! Vanguard G! Darkness that engulfs the light. Fight against your fate and find your future path! Booster pack “Sovereign Star Dragon” is out on sale, May 29th. We have campaigns too! Daaang! “Fateful Star Messiah” is juiced up with the all-new booster pack “Sovereign Star Dragon!.” PART 2 Let’s start from where you stride. This time, I’ll stride on “Genesis Dragon, Amnesty Messiah” instead of “Judgement Dragon.” It’s having a hard time raising its leg. It needs to raise it many times. With “Alter Ego Messiah’s” skill, I’ll lock one of my unit and my opponent’s unit. I intercept this. This one? And Vanguard gets +5000. This is Alter Ego Messiah’s skill. The same one as before. Yup. And the new card… My first Vanguard is a new card. When it goes in the Soul, it can lock one of my unit and my opponent’s unit. Lock! And I’ll intercept again! OK… I’ll flip it. Now the card count is equal. Yeah, considering just the numbers. The boost unit here, and this is also a new card. “Lady Battler of Gravity Well.” Guess what. This one gets +4000 when I lock my unit. And now I move onto my attack. Then, I’ll use Lady Battler to attack the Vanguard. It’s 13000! I’ll take it. It can hit or miss. Next, I’ll move on to Vanguard’s attack. With “Riddle Biter’s” boost, Amnesty Messiah attacks the Vanguard. And Amnesty Messiah’s attack skill gets activated. Right now? Yes? 1 Counterblast. It can unlock any number of locked cards. OK. Not yours. I can unlock yours, but it’s better to unlock my own instead. All of them? Of course! If we are in the final stage of the match, it’s a good idea to unlock my opponent’s units. I’ve intercepted them so… The power increases by the number of unlocked cards x 3000. Uh-huh. So I have 1,2,3 units. And I get a Critical. Critical increases if you unlock 3 or more units right? Yup. In addition, I get to use the skills of the unlocked units. I activate “Awaking Messiah’s” skill. THAT key card of yours! I untap this one. And…then…it gets +2000. My Vanguard’s total power is incredible! 31000…36000 + 9000… And with the boost? 47000 with 2 Criticals! Triple Drive! Nothing! So I can attack like that. Then, the attack of 16000 follows. This one is pumped up so… How much is it now? It’s 23000. So it attacks. And that previous Trigger could have made it better. I see. That’s all. Got it. You wouldn’t have been able to unlock that trial deck if you hadn’t drawn this card. True. But when I attack with this Amnesty Messiah, it can unlock them too. That means, you can unlock whenever you like. Even without this card. Right! On top of that, this one increases in size and gets more Criticals. Critical increases if you unlock 3 or more cards. I see. It’s like a secret weapon! Damn right! Here we have the pumped up Lady Battler. But there are different types of booster cards. Here we have “Heavy Material Dragon.” When this is out, if you pay 1 Counterblast, lock 1 unit, and take out a card from a hand, you get to draw 2 cards. You can change the hand. Normally, you won’t throw away your Perfect Guard but…OK. I just chose a random card here. So you can change your hand. This Gr. 3 “Neutron Star Lady Gunner” is another one. This will work as either Vanguard or Rearguard. When it’s out, it can lock both your own unit and your opponent’s unit. Your unit and your opponent’s unit? And it’s 11000. Can you use that skill from the Rearguard position? Certainly. It has 1 GB (Generation Break), so I think you’ll be striding once here… So you lock you and your opponent’s units. While you can also unlock during Amnesty Messiah’s attack. You use your weakness to to your advantage. So that’s what you can do. And you can use other cards as your secret weapons instead of Amensty Messiah. Here’s “Nebula Dragon, Big Crunch Dragon.” This is quite powerful! You first stride and pay 1 Counterblast. the cost? Yup. Then you take the same card from the G Zone and flip it over. Now you can choose one of your opponent’s Rearguard and lock it. OK. Nothing special. And also you can lock the Rearguard behind it. By the way, this lock CANNOT be unlocked in your opponent’s End phase. It’s OMEGA LOCK! Omega lock? Yup, People who’ve used “Glendios” cards may know it. Then these can be used in the Glendios deck too? Definitely! On the next turn, if you go with Amnesty Messiah, you have more unlockable cards. OK. I see that. Even with the Omega locks, this can unlock them. That’s right! With that, you’ll have more power for finishing your opponent off. I see. I see. So you can do something like that. You could link it here. Or you could just push it right through. To wrap it up, you have cards that unlock your locked cards, and you have cards that locks your opponent’s cards. That’s right. So that’s all. I hope you soup your deck up with the Booster pack. For people who are trying it out, get the Trial deck for beginners! For those who want to improve their decks, get the newly-released “Sovereign Star Dragon!” And for those who needs further JUICE-PUMPING, try using previous Booster packs. I recommend “Star-vader, Volt Line” from “Blazing Perdition,” so check it out. OK everyone! RIDE THE VANGUARD!
